AML Delegation to Bosnia 1-4 November 2015

AML will be taking a delegation to Bosnia as part of the 'Lessons from Srebrenica' programme arranged by charity Remembering Srebrenica.

Ideal minimum donation towards the trip is £300, and you would be taking part on the basis of a pledge to raise awareness on your return - we can help you with this.
A basic itinerary for the trip is set out below:


  • Arrive in Sarajevo and check-in to Hotel Hollywood
  • Introduction by Resad Trbonja, RSI Coordinator for Bosnia-Herzegovina
  • Guided tour of Sarajevo
  • Free time in Sarajevo old town
  • Dinner at Hotel Hollywood


  • Visit to gallery owned by artist Tarik Samarah
  • Tour of Sarajevo city graveyard
  • Presentation at the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) followed by tour of ICMP facilities
  • Meeting at the Human Rights Centre, University of Sarajevo(TBC)
  • Meeting with Representative of The British Embassy, Sarajevo(TBC)


  • Trip to Tuzla
  • Visit Podrinje Identification Project (Forensic anthropology unit) - 45 minute tour
  • Visit at ICD (DNA testing unit) –45 minute tour
  • Visit to Srebrenica 
  • Visit to Potocari Memorial Centre led by memorial curator and survivor Hasan Hasanovic
  • Visit Multi-media room and Memorial room in Potocari Memorial
  • Meet the Mothers of Srebrenica
  • Tour of the Potocari cemetery



  • Visit to Sarajevo Tunnel Museum
  • Return to airport for flight to UK
