Are Muslims empowered by knowledge

Read! In the name of your Lord (Quran 96:1)

In the Islamic faith and practice, Muslims are encouraged to seek knowledge and pursue education in all areas of life. But are Muslims aware of this duty? Do we value knowledge as we should? Do we take heed of the opportunities presented to us to gain education and empower ourselves to become active members of society? Are we empowered by the knowledge we gain or have access to?
